Born in Argentina, David Contreras received his culinary training at Instituto Argentino de Gastronomía and has more than 15 years’ experience leading kitchens in five-star hotels in Argentina, Mexico, and the Middle East. A longtime resident of the UAE, David has served as head chef and Executive Sous Chef for the Jumeirah Group and The Address and, prior to his current position with The St. Regis Dubai, he held the executive chef position at The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa. He is an enthusiastic proponent of South American and Mexican cuisine and brings a special Latin flair to his acclaimed interpretations of international dishes from around the globe.
