German native Sascha Gausselmann began his culinary career at the Michelin-star Chesa Pirani in Switzerland in 1998, and spent the next dozen years serving in a variety of creative roles in exclusive restaurants throughout the U.K., including Cliveden House, Chapter One, The Park at the Mandarin Oriental, and Bar Boulud. In 2011, he relocated to the UAE, where he took over as chef de cuisine at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, followed by three years – first as chef de cuisine and then as executive chef – at the Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila, where he delighted patrons of the Philippines’ premier casino resort with his innovative international menus. Since 2015, Sascha has served as executive sous chef for Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, managing a team of 177 chefs and creating tantalizing menus ranging from authentic Arabic dishes to Far East Asian, Modern European, and California fusion cuisine.
